Configure Service Account Security

Procedure W03-DWHO.56: To configure service account security

  1. Add the RTCService service account (located in the Users container in Active Directory Users and Computers) to the Windows-based Hosting Services Accounts group.

  2. Add the CWAService service account (located in the Users container in Active Directory Users and Computers) to the Windows-based Hosting Services Accounts group.

  3. On OCSPoolFE01, restart the following services to make the account change effective:

    • Office Communications Server Front-End
    • Office Communications Server IM Conferencing
    • Office Communications Server Telephony Conferencing

Install the Office Communications Server 2007 Management Tools on all MPS Provisioning Engines

Procedure W03-DWHO.57: To install the Office Communications Server 2007 Management Tools on all MPS Provisioning Engines

  1. Log on to MPS01 as Fabrikam\Administrator.

  2. Run Setup.exe from the Office Communications Server 2007 Enterprise Edition media to start the Office Communications Server 2007 deployment wizard.

    Note:
    If you are prompted to install a C++ Redistributable component, do so.

  3. In the right-hand column, click Administrative Tools.

  4. Follow the steps in the wizard in order to deploy the Administrative Tools.

  5. Repeat this procedure on MPS02.

Deploy Office Communications Server 2007 Services Provisioning

Procedure W03-DWHO.58: To deploy Office Communications Server 2007 services provisioning

  1. Log on to MPS01 as Fabrikam\Administrator, and then open the MPS Deployment Tool.

  2. Right-click the OCS Services Hosting component, and then select Install all in this group.

  3. The Confirm Install on Dependents screen will open, to alert you that the Office Communications Server 2007 Plans Manager Database Account will also be initialized. Click OK.

  4. Click Start Deployment to start running the selected procedures.

  5. Monitor the deployment session on the Install Details tab.

  6. Restart the provisioning service.
