The Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Management Pack for System Center Operations Manager monitors the Windows Application log on computers running Exchange 2010 and generates this alert when the events specified in the following Details table are logged.

Rule Name

The Preload Filter for the DN could not be parsed. This filter will not be used.

Explanation

This Error event indicates that DSAccess search preload was configured in the Windows registry, but one of the entries in the PreloadFilters registry key could not be parsed. DSAccess search preloading enhances performance of the Exchange server and reduces the load on Active Directory.

This event may occur when the specified filter entry in the PreloadFilters registry key contains invalid characters or a misspelled attribute name.

User Action

To resolve this error, make sure that the filter specified in the PreloadFilters registry key is valid. For more information, see Microsoft Knowledge Base article 250572, XCON: Preloading and the DSAccess Cache.
