Rule Name

The Exchange Active Directory Provider couldn't contact a domain controller in the domain, but it could resolve the name.

Explanation

This Warning event indicates that the Active Directory Provider could not connect to one or more domain controllers in the domain specified in the event description. This event may occur if one or both of the following conditions are true:

  • The host records that map Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) of the domain controllers to their IP addresses are missing or contain incorrect addresses.

  • The domain controllers identified by DNS query are not working or not reachable on the network.
