Rule Name

The Microsoft Exchange Transport Log Search Service could not be stopped.

Explanation

This Error event indicates that the Microsoft Exchange Transport Log Search service was unable to stop on the computer that is running the Hub Transport server role, the Edge Transport server role, or the Mailbox server role. The service status may be in a stopping state, and all processes that depend on the Microsoft Exchange Transport Log Search service, such as the Delivery Reports and Tracking Log Explorer tools, and the Get-MessageTrackingLog, Search-MessageTrackingReport or Get-AgentLog cmdlets may not function. This event may occur if the Hub Transport server, Edge Transport server, or Mailbox server are busy processing other requests.

User Action

To resolve this error, restart the server.
