Explanation

The cmdlet that triggered this alert is the Test-ImapConnectivity cmdlet. The Test-ImapConnectivity cmdlet can be used to verify that the Microsoft Exchange IMAP4 service is running as expected.

One or more failures occurred when running the cmdlet to evaluate IMAP4 connectivity. This may be a temporary problem that is keeping this cmdlet from running correctly. For example, this alert may be generated if a backup process on the Mailbox server is preventing the cmdlet from running.

User Action

To resolve this error, do one or more of the following:

  • Wait for the Test-ImapConnectivity cmdlet to run again.

  • Check connectivity between the Client Access Server and Active Directory.

  • Make sure that the Mailbox server is running.

  • Review the Application log and System log on your Exchange 2010 servers for related events. For example, events that occur immediately before and after this event may provide more information about the root cause of this error.
