Warning

Rule Path

Microsoft Exchange Server/Exchange 2010/Hub Transport/EdgeSync

Rule Name

Credentials used by EdgeSync have either expired or haven't been created. You will need to resubscribe the Edge Transport server.

Explanation

This Warning event indicates that the EdgeSync service closed a synchronization session between the computer that is running the Hub Transport server role and the computer that is running the Edge Transport server role. The connection was closed because the Hub Transport server could not find a matching internal transport certificate (also known as a direct trust certificate) on the Edge Transport server. This event may be caused if a certificate mismatch exists between the Hub Transport server and the Edge Transport server. In this case, you must resubscribe the Edge Transport server.

User Action

To resolve this warning, do the following:

  • Correct the problem that affects the internal transport certificate. For more information, see Understanding TLS Certificates.

  • Resubscribe the Edge Transport server specified in the event description. For more information, see the following topics:

    • Import an Edge Subscription File to an Active Directory Site

    • Create an Edge Subscription File on an Edge Transport Server
