Rule Name

A user mailbox has hit recoverable items warning quota limit.

Explanation

This Error event occurs when a users mailbox reaches the recoverable items quota limit. In Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, the recoverable items folder has a configurable soft limit default of 20 GB and a hard limit default of 30 GB. When the recoverable items folder reaches the soft limit and hard limit defaults, the administrator is notified through an event log and a MOM alert. This alert fires when the Recoverable Items folder reaches the soft limit and hard limit defaults and one time per day afterward.

User Action

To resolve this problem, the user must purge items from the Recoverable Items folder by using the Purge Selected Items option in the Recoverable Items folder dialog box.
