The Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Management Pack for System Center Operations Manager monitors the Windows Application log on computers running Exchange 2010 and generates this alert when the events specified in the following Details table are logged.

Rule Name

An EdgeSync synchronization process couldn't start because the configuration data didn't pass validation.

Explanation

This event indicates that an error occurred when trying a synchronization process and the process could not start because the configuration data did not pass validation. The configuration data that is to be synchronized from the computer that is running the Hub Transport server role to the computer that is running the Edge Transport server role must pass validation before synchronization can start. For example, valid Exchange topology data is required for Edge server to correctly operate. The exception specified in the event description provides more information about this failure.
