Rule Name

A POP3 connectivity transaction failure occurred. The NetworkCredential value for the given MailboxCredential is set to null.

Explanation

The cmdlet that triggered this alert is the Test-PopConnectivity cmdlet. The Test-PopConnectivity cmdlet can be used to verify that the Microsoft Exchange POP3 service is running as expected.

This alert may be generated if the value for the MailboxCredential parameter is not valid. This alert may also occur if the mailbox for the specified test user is not found.

User Action

To resolve this alert, do one or more of the following:

  • Verify that the mailbox credentials that you are using are correct.

  • Make sure that the specified user has a mailbox.

  • Review the Application log and System log on your Exchange 2010 servers for related events. For example, events that occur immediately before and after this event may provide more information about the root cause of this error.
