The Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Management Pack for System Center Operations Manager monitors the Windows Application log on computers running Exchange 2010 and generates this alert when the events specified in the following Details table are logged.

Rule Name

Exchange was unable to load the configuration information needed for routing. The operation will be retried after the specified interval.

Explanation

This Error event indicates that the Microsoft Exchange Transport service was unable to load the routing configuration information.

User Action

To resolve this error, do one or more of the following:

  • Restart the Microsoft Exchange Transport service.

  • Increase the diagnostic logging level on the Routing counter of the MSExchangeTransport performance object. You can increase logging by running the following Exchange Management Shell command:

    Set-EventLogLevel "MSExchangeTransport\Routing" -Level High

  • Review other related Error and Warning events in the Application log. These related events may help you find the root cause of this error.

    Important   After you have finished troubleshooting this issue, return logging to the default level by running the following command:

    Set-EventLogLevel "MSExchangeTransport\Routing" -Level Lowest
