The Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Management Pack for System Center Operations Manager monitors the Windows Application log on computers running Exchange 2010 and generates this alert when the events specified in the following Details table are logged.

Explanation

This Error event indicates that the registry key in the HKLM key specified in the event description is not a DWORD type as expected. This is abnormal as most keys are created by an Exchange server installation.

User Action

To resolve this error, do one or more of the following:

  • Examine the registry key and determine the value type.

  • Check your server's change history to determine if and when this registry key was added by an administrator. If the key was added by an administrator, correct the key to a DWORD type.
