The Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Management Pack for System Center Operations Manager monitors the Windows Application log on computers running Exchange 2010 and generates this alert when the events specified in the following Details table are logged.

Rule Name

OABGen received an error while trying to publish one of the offline address book files to the distribution point.

Explanation

Event error ID 9367 or 9368 indicates that offline address book (OAB) generation (OABGen) failed to publish a differences file to the OAB distribution point.

Event error ID 9369 indicates that there was a disk operation failure while trying to publish the OAB.

Event error ID 9370 indicates that the Microsoft Exchange System Attendant service failed to update the time stamp on the OAB files.

User Action

To resolve event error ID 9367 or 9368, do one or more of the following:

  • Check the amount of free disk space. If the disk is full, consider deleting or moving files to increase free disk space.

  • If this event has been logged more than once for the same file, check the file permissions in the OAB distribution point. To locate the file path location for the OAB distribution point, run the Exchange Management Shell cmdlet Get-OABVirtualDirectory.

To resolve event error ID 9369 or 9370, do one or more of the following:

  • Review the Application log for related events. For example, events that occur immediately before and after this event may provide more information about the root cause of this error.

  • Check the amount of free disk space. If the disk is full, consider deleting or moving files to increase free disk space.

  • If this event has been logged more than once for the same file, check the file permissions in the OAB distribution point. To locate the file path location for the OAB distribution point, run the Exchange Management Shell cmdlet Get-OABVirtualDirectory.
