Rule Name

Exchange failed to write the logs because of an error. The source component and cause of the error are specified in the event description.

Explanation

This Error event indicates that an error occurred while trying to append a new log entry. This event may occur because of various reasons. The error information specified in the event description may provide more information about the root cause of this event.

User Action

To resolve this error, follow these steps:

  • Make sure that the disk where the specified log file is stored has sufficient space for new log entries.

  • Make sure that the log file is not in use by any other application.
