The Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Management Pack for System Center Operations Manager monitors the Windows Application log on computers running Exchange 2010 and generates this alert when the events specified in the following Details table are logged.

Rule Name

Outlook Web App failed to initialize. A file from a theme folder couldn't be parsed. Review MSExchangeOWA event 25 for the cause.

Explanation

This Error event indicates that Microsoft Office Outlook Web App did not initialize because the system could not correctly parse the XML file referenced in the event description. The event may occur if any of the following conditions is true:

  • The file is corrupted.

  • The file contains invalid format or entries that are not allowed by Outlook Web App themes.

User Action

To resolve the error, replace the themes folder and the default subfolders with the files and folders that are located on the Exchange Server 2010 DVD. By default, those files and folders are located in the \Setup\ServerRoles\ClientAccess\owa\<version>\ folder of the Exchange 2010 DVD.
