The Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Management Pack for System Center Operations Manager monitors the Windows Application log on computers running Exchange 2010 and generates this alert when the events specified in the following Details table are logged.

Explanation

This Error event indicates that an Address Book View configuration failed due to one of the following conditions:

  • An unsupported policy type was found in Active Directory. Exchange 2010 currently only supports e-mail address policies and Exchange system policies.

  • The Address Book View provider could not initialize an interface to the Microsoft Exchange System Attendant.

  • There were no e-mail addresses or Exchange system policies found in Active Directory.

User Action

To resolve this error, do one or more of the following:

  • Review the System and Application event logs for related events. For example, events that occur immediately before and after this event may provide more information about the root cause of this error

  • Have the domain administrator verify that at least one domain controller is operational in the domain specified in the error.

  • If you cannot resolve this error or if you experience other problems or mail flow interruptions in the Exchange environment, contact Microsoft Product Support Services. For information about contacting support, visit the Microsoft Help and Support Web site.
