The Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Management Pack for System Center Operations Manager monitors the Windows Application log on computers running Exchange 2010 and generates this alert when the events specified in the following Details table are logged.

Rule Name

The STARTTLS certificate for the remote server has expired. The certificate must be renewed to resume mail flow.

Explanation

This Error event indicates that the certificate that was used for Transport Layer Security (TLS) on the remote domain has expired. The domain name is returned with this Error event.

User Action

To resolve this error, contact the administrator of the domain and request that the administrator create a valid TLS certificate for the domain.
