The Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Management Pack for System Center Operations Manager monitors the Windows Application log on computers running Exchange 2010 and generates this alert when the events specified in the following Details table are logged.

Rule Name

Could not open LDAP session to Active Directory using local service credentials. Cannot access Address List configuration information.

Explanation

This Error event indicates that Exchange was unable to contact a domain controller. The directory may not be available, or the name of the domain controller specified in the properties of the accepted domain may be incorrect. This event may also indicate that a domain has been demoted or removed from your organization.

User Action

To resolve this error, remove the objects that reference the domain that has been removed or demoted.
