Removing Citrix XenServer storage repositories

When you remove a storage repository, the contents of the storage repository are also deleted.

Note: You can instead click Forget Storage Repository to remove the storage repository without deleting the contents. You can then re-attach the storage repository to another XenServer host while keeping the contents intact. Forgetting Citrix XenServer storage repositories provides details.

To remove a storage repository:

  1. In the left pane of the ESI window, select Hypervisors.

  2. Click Storage Repositories from the center pane, and then select a XenServer hypervisor.

  3. Or

    From the left pane, select a XenServer hypervisor.

  4. Click Remove Storage Repository from XenServer Tools in the right pane.

  5. The Remove Storage Repository wizard appears.

  6. In the Select Storage Repository(s) page, select a storage repository from the list, and then click Next.

  7. Note: Select the Destroy the corresponding LUN from storage checkbox if you also want to do this.

  8. Click Yes to confirm that you want to remove the storage repository.

  9. In the Review Input Parameters page, review the settings, and then click Next to confirm them.

  10. In the Progress page, click Next.

Note: Click More Information for more progress details. If a problem occurs, an error message appears along with options to resume or roll back the process. After the error is resolved, click Resume to resume the process. Click Rollback to revert to the previously executed step.

  1. In the Summary page, click Finish.
