Use the Specify Exchange Protection Options page of the Create New Protection Group Wizard to specify whether you want to check the integrity of the Exchange Server databases and to select the cluster node that you want to protect.

Run Eseutil to check data integrity

Click this check box to check the integrity of the Exchange Server databases.

The Exchange Server Database Utilities (Eseutil.exe) must be installed on the protected server for tape-based protection.

For disk-based protection, you must also install Eseutil.exe on the DPM server.

Protect active node

Click this option to select the active node as the node that DPM will protect.

Protect passive node

Click this option to select the passive node as the node that DPM will protect. If the passive node is not available, select the node that you want to fail over to from the drop-down list.

Protect only the specified node

Click this option to specify the node that you want DPM to protect, and then select the protection node from the drop-down list.

After specifying the Exchange Server protection options for the data sources, click Next.
