Use the Specify Destination page of the Recovery Wizard to copy the database files to a network folder. This page contains the following elements.

Destination server (FQDN)

Specify the destination server name. You must type the fully-qualified domain name of the server.

Destination folder

Specify the folder path location on the destination server where the database files will be recovered to. For example, to recover the database files to a folder (for example, E:\Folder1) on the server Server1 specify Server1 as the destination server and Folder1 as the destination folder.

Note
You cannot specify a UNC path (for example, \\servername\sharename) when recovering SQL Server databases as files to a network folder.
