Well-Enabled Service Deployment Prerequisites

This section introduces the prerequisites for deploying the Well-Enabled Services (WES) available in this kit. In order to be able to use any of these Well-Enabled Services, you must deploy them on a system that has been configured as a Microsoft Provisioning System (MPS) client.

Well-Enabled Service Prerequisites
WES for Windows-based Hosting

Deploy these components of the Microsoft Solution for Windows-based Hosting by following the deployment walkthrough guidance in the "Build" sections of these Windows-based Hosting 4.0 documentation sections: Centralized Management, Service Provisioning, Web Hosting and Data Hosting.

When you follow the guidance in the deployment walkthrough documentation and run the Deployment Tool, the Managed Hosting Namespace will be installed.

WES for Hosted Exchange

Deploy these components of the Microsoft Solution for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration by following the deployment walkthrough guidance in the "Build" sections of these Hosted Messaging and Collaboration 3.5 documentation sections: Centralized Management, Service Provisioning, and Hosted Exchange.

When you follow the guidance in the deployment walkthrough documentation and run the Deployment Tool, the Hosted Exchange Namespace and Exchange Provider will be installed. While other components, such as Microsoft Office Live Communications Server and Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services, can be installed as part of the Hosted Messaging and Collaboration 3.5 deployment, these services are not currently supported in the WES interface for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration 3.5. Support for these services will be updated in the coming months.

WES for Hosted Exchange Mobility

Deploy these components of the Microsoft Solution for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration by following the deployment walkthrough guidance in the "Build" sections of these Hosted Messaging and Collaboration 3.5 documentation sections: Centralized Management, Service Provisioning, and Hosted Exchange.

When you follow the guidance in the deployment walkthrough documentation and run the Deployment Tool, the Hosted Exchange Namespace and Exchange Provider will be installed.
