The reports described in this section are available in the Configuration Manager 2007 Management Pack. Reporting is an optional Operations Manager component that must be installed separately. Configuration Manager 2007 Reporting
The Configuration Manager 2007 Management Pack includes three types of reports:
- Availability
- Configuration
- Performance
Reports are targeted to groups or objects by using the object picker. All reports are linked to take advantage of Operations Manager 2007 reporting capabilities. You can choose from among seven exportable formats for your reports.
Availability Reports
Availability reports in the Configuration Manager 2007 Management Pack are targeted against the ConfigMgr Server class and its monitors. They can be executed by selecting either the Microsoft.SystemCenter.ConfigurationManager.2007.ServersGroup group or the Microsoft.SystemCenter.ConfigurationManager.2007.SMS_Server_Class object in the report's object picker.
Server Availability
This report is based on the aggregate health state of all entities on a particular server and will include availability health state for the System.Health.EntityState.
Distribution Point Availability
This report is based on the availability health state of a Distribution Point and uses information from the DP health monitor.
Management Point Availability
This report is based on the availability health state of a Management Point and uses information from the MP health monitor.
PXE Service Point Availability
This report is based on the availability health state of a PXE Service Point and uses information from the PSP health monitor.
Site Server Availability
This report is based on the availability health state of a site server and uses information from the SS health monitor.
Software Updates Point Availability
This report is based on the availability health state of a Software Updates Point and uses information from the SUP health monitor.
System Health Validator Availability
This report is based on the availability health state of a System Health Validator Point and uses information from the SHV health monitor.
Configuration Report
One configuration report is available with the Configuration Manager 2007 Management Pack, the Configuration Manager 2007 Server Custom Configuration Report. This report displays the following ConfigMgr Server class properties:
- Version (Configuration Manager 2007
Product Version)
- Site System Type (Site System Type, Server
Type, Database Server Type)
- Components (Site Server, Server Locator
Point, Distribution Point, Management Point, Reporting Point,
Database Server, Provider, Sender, Client Access Point)
- Site Code (SMS site code)

This report can be executed by selecting either the Microsoft.SystemCenter.ConfigurationManager.2007.ServersGroup group or the Microsoft.SystemCenter.ConfigurationManager.2007.SMS_Server_Class object in the report's object picker.
Performance Reports
The performance reports are largely grouped according to Configuration Manager server roles or objects, i.e., Management Point or Data Discovery Record. These groups are further subdivided into raw (totals) and rate (per second or per minute) types so that values scale appropriately within a report.
The reports and their performance counters are organized in this manner to facilitate trend analysis and troubleshooting. The object report would typically be employed when investigating issues in the Configuration Manager infrastructure, whereas a server role report would be used to troubleshoot problems on, say, a Management Point(s).
Configuration Manager 2007 Server Performance Group Reports
To run the following reports, select Microsoft.SystemCenter.ConfigurationManager.2007.ServerPerformanceGroup in the object picker target group.
