Can I deploy firmware updates using the deployment kit?

Firmware must be applied as a standard "install software" action. SCCM only downloads one package per action, and since the client-side script and the toolkit utilities are a package, no additional packages can be downloaded.

Can I deploy ProLiant Support Packs using the deployment kit?

HP recommends the installation of ProLiant Support Packs after operating system is deployed. Similar to firmware, ProLiant Support Packs must be installed as a standard "install software" action.

Can I just integrate the toolkit package with my boot image?

The product does not currently support that option and requires the use of a package for the toolkit utilities.

Can I install this kit on System Management Server 2003?

No. This product is not supported for use with System Management Server 2003, since System Management Server 2003 OS Deployment capability is an add-on pack that uses a different architecture than the OS Deployment feature in Configuration Manager 2007. There are no plans to make this product backward-compatible.
