Upgrading the HP ProLiant Server OS Deployment for System Center Configuration Manager 2007

  1. Ensure that the Configuration Manager Console is closed prior starting installation.

  2. Launch the HP ProLiant Server OS Deployment for System Center Configuration Manager 2007 installer on the HP Insight Control for Microsoft® System Center CD Autorun installer.

    The installer must be launched on the system where the Configuration Manager 2007 has been configured and where the previous version of the HP ProLiant Server OS Deployment for System Center Configuration Manager 2007 has been installed.

  3. The upgrade popup screen appears. Click Yes.

  4. The upgrade installation dialog screen appears. To start the upgrade installation, click Next.

  5. The Installation Progress dialog screen appears. Installation takes approximately 15 minutes.

  6. The Installation Completed dialog screen appears. The upgrade installation has been completed. Click Finish.

  7. To ensure the updated tools are available, open the Configuration Manager Console and update the Distribution Points for the Custom Reboot Script, HP ProLiant G6 Network Driver, and HP ProLiant Server OS Deployment Integration packages inside the HP ProLiant Server OS Deployment folder.

After the upgrade, previous task sequences and boot images must continue to work unless the boot image has been modified with different HP drivers.
