Operations Manager 2007, integrating alert processing, state
monitoring, and hardware resource lifecycle management for HP
ProLiant servers.
Designed specifically for Operations Manager 2007, the HP
ProLiant Server Management Packs provide predefined discoveries,
views, monitors, event processing rules, and tasks which enable
administrators to proactively streamline IT operations and ensure
increased systems availability by monitoring Microsoft® Windows®
environments and HP ProLiant server hardware platforms through a
common Operations Manager console.
The HP ProLiant Server Management Packs for Operations Manager
2007 automatically discover and group HP ProLiant servers by
hardware platform type. Default discoveries and monitors highlight
the state of HP hardware and management software components and
present a consolidated view of system status. The HP ProLiant
Server Management Packs support two sources of instrumentation:
Predefined event processing rules build on the functionality of
the HP Insight Management Agents to display Windows® Event Log
entries for HP ProLiant server hardware as alerts in the Operations
Manager 2007 Console, including real-time and prefailure event
definitions.

through the HP Integrated Lights-Out Management Processor when
installed.
