Using the HP ProLiant Server Management Packs for Operations Manager 2007

The HP ProLiant Server Management Packs for Operations Manager 2007 include the following major elements:

  • Classes

  • Views

  • Discoveries

  • Monitors

  • Rules

  • Tasks

The HP ProLiant Servers WMI Management Pack and the HP ProLiant Servers SNMP Management Pack have the same features and operations. A description of each operation is in this guide, which is accessible from the Start Program menu on the installed environment.

Before using the HP ProLiant Server Management Packs for Operations Manager 2007, be sure that the following conditions exist:

  • The HP ProLiant Server Management Packs for Operations Manager 2007 have been installed according to the installation procedures (Chapter 3 “Installation”) defined in this guide.

  • HP Insight Management Agents or HP Insight Management WBEM Providers are installed, properly configured, and running on all managed servers.

    NOTE: The appropriate versions of HP Insight Management Agents or HP Insight Management WBEM Providers must be installed and running on all managed servers.
