HP BladeSystem Management Pack for Operations Manager 2007 kit installs HP BladeSystem Enclosure Monitor Service as a Windows Service. The Monitor Service runs on the system to monitor HP BladeSystem c-Class enclosures.
HP BladeSystem Enclosure Monitor Service is configured by HP BladeSystem Enclosure Monitor Manager to register monitoring enclosures. After new enclosure registration, HP BladeSystem Enclosure Monitor Service connects to an HP BladeSystem Onboard Administrator to collect inventory and monitor state information.
The Monitor Service also accesses SNMP Trap service to capture and translate SNMP trap data generated by HP BladeSystem Onboard Administrator into the HP BladeSystem event log.
Activities are reported in the event log. The monitored inventory and state data is passed to the Operations Manager through the HP BladeSystem Management Pack discovery rules and monitor rules.
