Intercept Requirements

Hardware Requirements

Requirements for the SE-Viewer application are directly connected to your environment. Minimum recommendations are equal to Microsoft's IIS, Microsoft Framework 2.0 and MSDE minimum requirements. That being said it is also directly connected to number of agents reporting into the SE-Viewer as well as the number of expected users. A standard rule to follow is 1 agent can be considered 1 user to the web service.

A basic web server is all that is required for SE-Viewer. For the web server we would recommend at least a Pentium 4 (>2.0 GHz) with 500 MB disk space and 1 GB of memory. If SQL Server is running on the same box, we would recommend 5 GB of available space and 2 GB of memory.

If the database will be on a separate server, the requirements for that machine are the same as for MS SQL. Disk space will depend on the number of events generated and how the system is configured, but the rule of thumb is that each record is approximately 28 KB per record.
